Pins 1 and 8 of this device family are shown as NC however in the Terminal Functions Table on sheet 5, the pins are listed and "No Connection: Must be grounded". Could this be clarified please, should I leave these pins unconnected or tied to ground?
Also, I am looking to use this part as a drop in replacement for another device. The circuit board will connect +5V to pins 1 and 8. Assuming I do not need to ground these pins, it is OK to tie them to 5V?
