    The UCC28722 is specifically designed to drive an NPN switch instead of a MOSFET, note the lower maximum switching frequency (80kHz compared to 130 kHz), lower DRV clamp voltage (7V comared to 14V). Lower cost designs may consider using a NPN as the primary side switch instead of a high voltage MOSFET
