no Phaseshift between Gate A and Gate B

Part Number: UCC28063

Hello,

I am working on a design of a tree phase PFC without need of  a neutral line connection for Vin 400V phase to phase, to Vout 700V up to 4kW.

The inductors are placed at the ac side of mainsrectifier and thats why the information of zero current I take from two currenttransformers in series of the boostrectifiers.

In this moment I have the circuit on a breadbord running with Vin 150V, Vout 330V with a load of 500W and the linecurrent shows nearly the wanted shape but both gatesignals GDA and GDB come at the same time. Knowing that phaseshifting needs  ripple at VINAC pin I tried running with two phases but there were no difference. Any idea in which way I may get the phaseshift ?

Regards

Martin

  • Hello Martin,
It would be great if you could provide a block schematic that shows how you arrange the 3 phase inputs, boost inductors, rectifiers and boost MOSFETs/diodes.
The UCC28063 is a dual phase interleaved transition mode pfc controller and it is not suitable for a 4kW application because of the high power losses at this power level. If you wish you can email your schematic to johngriffin@ti.com .
