TPS65150-Q1: TPS65150-Q1 delay time between VIN and V(VS)

Hi Brigitte,

My customer asked urgently whether the TPS65150-Q1 can delay between VIN and V(VS= AVDD) as diagram below.
Is it possible to delay between them? And please explain in detail how to do delay using the isolation switch(Q1) and RC.

Hello DY,

If you mean that no voltage will be on VS as long as VIN is below the UVLO threshold, this is possible with the transistor connected as on the right picture. GD is going low after VS reached its power good threshold, so VS is delayed after UVLO.

A delay between VIN and VS for a longer period of time is possible with the circuit, but only if it is not driven by GD.

Hello DY,

Please take the above circuitry and drive the transistor (that is driven from GD in the above case) from an open drain IO of a microcontroller. But this will only delay VS. Is this what your customer wants to do?
