My customer would like to confirm the input current of LM3429MH to calculate the max power dissipation.

I believe that the input current is limited by the VCC Current Limit = 27mA(typ).

So, the max input current is about 27mA.

Is my understanding correct?

Hello Kanemaru,

Input current will depend on your output power level and input voltage and is normally measured by power meter.

I guess your customer is asking about the the Quiescent Current(Iq) to calculate the power loss in IC. For LM3429, the typical value of Iq is 1.6mA.
