I've used the TLC59283 in the past to drive individual LED's; in my new application I will be driving an "alphanumeric" LED display. This display has 16 segments. With some letters/numbers as many as 8 (or more) segments can be on. In the past I've used the SSOP device (easier to solder for prototypes). I'm concerned with the power dissipation for this package, but do not see a spec in the data sheet. Can someone point this out, or if there is another document that details this spec?
BTW, to anyone considering using this device, its a great part, just make sure to integrate the "BLANK" in your design to deal with ghosting.
