TLC5916: can CLK be removed during operation ?

Hi all,

few simple questions:

1)after dialing in data and latching it into the output, can the CLK signal be removed without disrupting output ?

2)if so, is it better to set CLK HI or LO or doesnt matter?

3)By using the special mode to reduce the control voltage, is it possible to reliable dim outputs to 1/12 of the min current of 5 mA ? Or would 5 mA still be the min reliable current?
