TPS7A4700 in parallel

It is not advisable to connect the outputs of two LDOs together for load sharing without some circuit modifications and you will see a degradation in performance. Just tying the two outputs together presents a signifcant chance of damaging the LDOs.

A few different options are available:

1) See the TPS7A8300, which is a 2A device. It does not have the input range that the TPS7A4700 has, but it can source the 3.3V and 5V rails on the board.

2) You can use ballast sharing resistors. An application note is available here to shed more light on it and the assumptions of the ballast sharing resistor scheme.
