Part Number: TPS63070

The IC gets damaged or even burned out when input voltage exceeds 10V for Vout = 5V what might be the problem? I have placed all the components as per the datasheet and rechecked all the connections but it doesn't work out.

This is not expected behavior. This can either come form the measurement setup, from bad soldering or from not optimized design (schematic and layout)

I would first like to take a look at the schematic and the layout to give futher suggestions, could you please share it (private message can be used if not wished to post on a public forum)
Could you check if there are pins shorted (L1, L2, Vin , Vout..?) in the damaged IC?
I also need information on operating conditions for reviewing the design: Vin range, Vout range, Iout profile
