LM5118: 5Vin to 3Vout/0.5A

Part Number: LM5118

I tried to use Webench for LM5118 with following condition, but it could not be generated.

Vin=5V

Vout=3V, Iout=0.5A

Why could not it be generated? Do you have cause?

You should use a buck controller or converter (integrated FET) for this application.

Could you please tell us the reason why LM5118 should not be proper for this application?

You input is 5V and output is 3V, you only need buck down. The LM5118 uses one more FET and diode, it is more expensive, and the output capacitor needs to be larger because the current is not continuous like in a buck.
