TPS65217 ICHG reading via A/D AM335X

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65217

I have the TPS65217C MUX out connected to an A/D input on the AM335x as recommended. I can read the VSYS, VTS and VBAT voltage ok after the proper scaling is applied. I am confused about the VICHARGE channel though. How do the reading relate to the actual charge current in milliamps? If I have my charge current set to 500ma (default) and I am reading 500ma on the meter (i.e. actively charging) I am reading 0xFFF (i.e. saturated 12 bit full scale). Is the reading just a percent? If so I could get the charge current by scaling using equation Charge current in mA = 500mA * percent (where percent is 0xFFF[full scale]=100%, 0x7FF[half scale]=50% etc.). I assume if I change the charging current to 700mA the same equation applies? Does this make sense? I want to actually read out the charge current in mA.
