Hi all,

I have found upgrade with am5726 from sr1.1 to 2.0 the pmic have been changed from TPS6590374 to TPS6590376.

My questions is:

1, Customer's PCB design is for TPS659034, does this need to do some modification for TPS659036?

2, Does all TPS679037x family are pin to pin compatible? thanks!

Hi Denny,

See my last reply in this post. Only the boot voltage of MPU and CORE has been changed, so there is no PCB modification required.

Both TPS6590376 and TPS6590377 have the same pin-out, but they are not drop-in replacements. Both OTPs have different default voltages and sequencing, since they are designed for different processor connections. Please reference the TPS659037 User's guide to see how each version should be hooked up to the AM57xx processors.

Hi Karl,

"The boot voltage specification of AM572x for MPU and CORE rails was increased to 1.15V, and therefore the PMIC OTP was changed to support this. This is the only difference from TPS6590374->TPS6590376 and TPS6590375->TPS6590377."

That means if customer use TPS6590374 they can change to TPS6590376 without any modification of PCB and schematic?
