LM26484: Does LM26484 supports LPS4414–222MLB as an output inductor for 3.3V

Part Number: LM26484

Dear TI Support,

According to the LM26484 datasheet, it recommends LPS4012–222MLB as an output inductor for Vout>2.0V.

(1) Why not LPS4414–222MLB? (same footprint as LPS4414–504MLB recommended for lower voltages)

(2) Can I use LPS4412–222MLB instead?

Thanks,

Igal

  • Igal,

It appears the only difference between the LPS4012-222MLB (recommended) inductor and the LPS4414-222MLB inductor is that the LP4414-222MLB is rated for a higher max current (2.35A rather than 1.75A). In this case, you can use either the 4012 or 4414 inductors.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,
    Nastasha
