hi guy,

if i set the circuit as 5W USB application with power switch. what will happen if i plug in 2A device? will it charge 1A or it wouldn't do anything?

Hello.

If I use two TPS2511, can I make a 2.1A and a 1.0A charge ports (from a 3.1A boost) ?
For this configuration, the datasheet says to configure the 2.1A port like the Figure 35 of datasheet and the 1.0A like the Figure 37. My understood is right ?
Will the two ports work with Apple and Samsung phones ?

Your understanding is correct and yes TPS2511 supports divider and 1.2V modes.

Thanks for quick response.

There is some reason to use a newer controller like TPS2546 or TPS2513 + current limit instead of the TPS2511 ?
