TPS23754: Ethernet magnetic for PoE

Hi

I'm referring PS23754EVM-420 schematic.

It uses ETH1-230LD as PoE Magnetic transformers.

Please answer the following question if you know.

(It is OK in the general theory.)

To implement PoE, should we select the magnetic promoting "PoE” support? 

For example, 

ETH1-230LD from coilcraft is for PoE Plus Magnetics clearly from datasheet, but HX5008NL from Pulse Electronics seems to be not.

    Hi nana,

    When implementing a poe design, it is important that the data transformer is capable of having power flow through it. Typically the poe data transformer datasheet will show what poe standard it is capable of or will say its current capabilities. It is not recommended to use a data-only (non poe) data transformer in a poe design.
