Hi Webmaster,

Customer designed dual power suppliers.

1. PoE power

2. DC 12V external adapter

My question is how to modify adapter 33-57V to 12V power supplier?

If customer can't refer this reference schematic, do you have else reference design?

Hi David,

From the schematic, since this is a 12V output, most applications will OR at the secondary. We find this to be more efficient and lower cost solution (otherwise power transformer would be larger for a wider input range).

Hi Darwin,

Thanks your feedback. Customer provided dual power supplier solution which came from other manufacturer.

He ask how to modify PoE schematic to support such kind of function

Yes I don't see anything wrong with the logic you have above. Are you trying to achieve smooth transition between adapter and PoE converter? If so, I can show you offline our approach. Thanks!

Hi Darwin,

Our customer develop 1st PoE project and desire to have reference schematic.

He don't know how to modify PoE schematic and support 12V DC adapter.

Do you have suck kind of reference design?
