Fuse is getting burn

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ASH

Hi,

I am facing one issue in my circuit.Issue is-

My board is working at 12V input. I am using fuse at the input side of 3A current rating.

As soon as I powered up the board, the fuse is getting burn(in some board). If I remove the fuse and short the board then the circuit is working fine and taking the current as same in the working board(having fuse)

I checked the impedance of the board and it is fine.

I replaced the fuse of the working board with this board then also it got burnt.

I am not able to debug the issue. Please help.

Thanks

Ash

  • Hi Ashu,

Are you using any TI devices on your board (DC-DC, LDO or other)? Have you looked at your 12V power on a scope and do you see any voltage spike at power up? Is your fuse the proper rating and is it slow or fast fuse? Can you attach your schematic?
