LMZ20501 Footprint and 3D model

I downloaded the .bxl file and .stp file for the LMZ20501 from this webpage: http://www.ti.com/product/LMZ20501/quality. They do not match. The pads on the 3D model do not match the pads on the footprint. How can I get the right footprint/model? I don't know which one is right because there is no mechanical drawing for this part in its datasheet.

Hello Kathy,

Apologies for the late reply.

I will check with our packaging folks to see why the packaging info is not getting attached to the LMZ20501 DS.

In the meantime, please refer to the LMZ20502 datasheet drawing. It uses exactly the same package (SIL0008F) as the LMZ20501 (same family of devices).

Here is the attached LMZ20502 DS.

Hi Denislav,

Thank you for your reply. I am sorry that my question was not clear. The 3D model and the footprint do not match. One of them must be wrong, and I think it is the 3D model because the footprint seems to match the datasheet for the LMZ20502.

Can you please send me the correct 3D model for this part (or point me to it).

Hi Kathy, The 3D may be outdated because the package center PAD was revised once. Is it one solid piece in the 3D model (vs slotted in 4 squares) ? Let me try to find out how you can get an updated version. Regards, Denislav

Hello Kathy,

I think I know what is happening.

The link to the .stp model on this page () is pointing to the wrong file.

It is pointing to the SIL0008A.stp file, it should be pointing to the F version of the SIL0008 package.

Fortunately, the SIL0008F stp file exists.
