TPS3825-33DBVT holds proc. in reset, generating reset square wave

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3825

Hello,

I am using a TPS3825-33DBVT to generate a reset to an LM3S9B96 processor and a couple other devices.

Schematic is inserted.

The pin 1 RESET# line is generating a square wave at 2.73Hz, and is not allowing the LM3S to come out of reset.

This square wave will not cease.

There is very little noise on either the MR# or VDD lines, and there is no periodic signal coming in on the MR# line.

Removing the device fixes the problem via pullup resistor R283, as well as replacing the TPS3825 with a similar supervisor from another manufacturer.

Out of 10 boards, one of them did not have this problem and came out of reset right away, however all of the rest show a square wave.

I'd like to understand this problem better before reworking anything or changing my design.

Is there anyone with any insight into this?

Thanks
