Dear TI Community,

we are using SN74LVC16T245DGGR IC in one of the application to buffer the DAC SPI interface signals.

In this application SPI Clock rate is 30MHz.

I just wanted to clarify, whether this IC will support 30MHz pulsing rate or not?

Hi Divya,

The SN74LVC16T245 is capable of supporting up to 190 MHz and hence 30 Mhz should not be a problem to support.
What is the translation voltage requirements? You might consider using the SN74AVC16T245 as well if the translation requirement is under 3.6V.

Thanks for the quick reply.

We are using this IC to buffer the signal from 3.3V level to 5V level.

whether this voltage shift from 3.3V to 5V cause any degradation in 30MHz clock signal ?

Divya,

Since this is 3.3 - 5V translation, you cannot use SN74AVC8T245.
You can use the SN74LVC8T245 to support 30 MHz.
