TPS3836: capacitance calculation formula for TPS3836

Hello,

I'm trying to add the TPS3836 to a design. I am looking for the formula to obtain the capacitance for the timing I need.

I cannot see it in the datasheet.

Could anyone advise the formula to do this?

Juan,

This part only has two delay options, 10ms if CT is connected to GND, and 200ms if CT is connected to VDD. We have similar parts, however, that might be more useful if you are looking for a more adjustable delay.

That's why I cannot find any formula.
Thanks for the help. which would recommend with programmable timing but other similar characteristics?

Juan,

The TPS3890 will be great assuming you are okay with switching to an open-drain /RESET output. It is a very low Iq device and the delay can be adjusted from 40us up to 30s. If you need a push-pull /RESET output, I recommend the TPS3896 as it supports the topology as well as an adjustable delay from 40us to 10s.

I would recommend a device that specs a delay equation such as LM8365 (if you are looking for low Iq) or TPS3890 (if you are looking for precision accuracy).
