TPS25200: Is there any signage of the Undervoltage Lockut function (e.g. towards the FAULT output signal)?

Part Number: TPS25200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25921A, TPS25940

Dear all,

as I intended to use the FAULT pin gain some information abot the input voltage level it'd be handy to know whether there is a chance to recognize whether the Power Switch is in UVLOCKOUT state. Didn't find any deatiled info about this in the Datasheet. Probably because this function is not supported :)

I'd be thankful for any advice.

Greetings,

Martin

  • Hi Martin,

Can you please let us know more about your application use case, end equipment, voltage, current specs.

In TPS25200, FLTb is asserted (active low) only during an over current, over temperature or overvoltage
    condition.

Please have a look at TPS25921A (Refer 9.3 Feature Description in datasheet), TPS25940, TPS25942. These devices support fault signage for under voltage event. Please let me know if any further clarification is needed.

    Best Regards,
    Rakesh
  • Hi Rakesh,

thank you very much, this fully answers my question. I had just been wondering whether there was any chance to tap this UVLO signal. I'll consider a different solution and will have a look at the product links you've provided.

    Kind regards,

    Martin
  • Hi Martin,

    Thank you!
Each of these devices has PSpice model and design calculation tools, which you can make use of during your system design.
