TPS24740: Detecting and reporting reverse current in OR'ing application if OR'ing FET fails short

Part Number: TPS24740

I have a HS then OR’ing application for fans. The concern is if the OR’ing FET on one of the channels fails short how do we detect and report reverse current flow? Even if the HS FET is off, it’s body diode would still conduct. Is there a way to use the FLTb or STAT signals to do something to report to the system in order to stop the reverse current? Or, would we need some external circuitry? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
