BQ51013B Ros1 and Ros2 values and purpose

I'm working a prototype for a Qi-compliant receiver, and cant figure out what Ros1 and Ros2 do. The datasheet says almost nothing about them except that one or the other should be used.

Does anyone have any information on which one should be used in what case, and what their values should be?

Hi,

ROS and RFOD are used for the Foreign Object Detection (FOD) feature that is required by wpc1.1. The values of ROS and RFOD should come out after FOD calibration. Only one ROS is needed, ROS connected to RECT is recommended.

WHat is the formula to calculate Ros on Vrect?

This is not stated in the datasheet.

Hi Barry,

There is no formula for the ROS and RFOD. You need to do a FOD (Foreign Object Detection) calibration ass required by WPC1.1. Please work with locale TI sales office to help you on the documentation on how to do this calibration.
