BQ500410AEVM - Ability to use without receiving coil

Hi,

I am looking to purchase a BQ500410AEVM wireless charging transmission kit. I am looking to use this for a novel application that requires continuous RF stimulation. I've read that this device is Qi enabled, which from my understanding, means that it will only operate when it is near a valid receiving coil. Is it possible to run this transmission coil continuously and at full strength in the absence of a receiving coil?  Thank you!!

  • Hi Jeremy
We do not have the option to power any of the wireless power transmitters in this configuration.
It is possible that metals in the transmitter AC field will heat up due to inductive heating. Precautions have been taken with the WPC systems to prevent this problem. Requirement that a WPC receiver be present for power transfer an important safeguard.
