eMMC 5.0 pulldown resistor on CMD pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3352

Hello,

As we know, AM3352 is compliant with MMC 4.3. Is there any problem or specific caution to take when using Sitara with an eMMC 5.0 memory which has backward compability?

In the schematic below (from Micron's TRM) there's a resistor called R_DS. When populated, it enables HS400 feature, which is not present on Sitara.

Micron told my customer they can remove it since there's no HS400 capability but they have requested TI to evaluate if there's any need to maintain this resistor from a processor's perspective. So Sitara team, please let me know if it is okay to remove R_DS.
