CC1200 narrow band settings & performance

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1101, CC1200

Hello everybody,

I moved my design from CC1101 to CC1200 transceiver in my battery powered devices (2xAA cell). I am using narrow band settings on 868MHz with 4kHz deviation and RX filter bandwidth 30kHz because of 40MHz crystal inaccuracy (10ppm). As antennas I am using 0dB whip antenna on master side and PCB ceramic antenna on battery device (0868AT43A0020). Performance is better than CC1101 but I think that it could be better. I can reach distance 300-400m in line of sight and two floors up and down in building. But RSSI falls down very rapidly. I have -20dBm in few centimeters and fals to -60dBm in few meters distance in one room and about -90dBm at opposite side of same floor. Lowest RSSI reading I had -116dBm, two floors away from second device. Output power is set to maximum and hardware is designed according TI application notes. It is standard performance or I can do something to improve it?
