Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB3410, AFE4300
I recently got a AFE4300EVM and am following the AFE4300EVM users guide to get started. Right off the bat, when I got to the installation of the GUI software that I downloaded from ti.com to evaluate the AFE4300EVM, I noticed that it is specified for Windows 7 and I have an HP ZBook running Windows 10. But I tried it anyway...it seems to have installed OK, but I don't think it went through the TUSB3410 installation screens, and it didn't communicate with the AFE4300EVM. When I looked at the device manager, I saw that when the EVM was plugged in, it listed "TUSB Boot Device" under "other devices" but it couldn't find a driver.
Then I started searching around on E2E and found a thread in the USB forum titled 'TUSB3410 for Windows 10' which had a link for what looked like the right driver, so I downloaded that one called TI_WDF_USBUART_SINGLE_DRIVER_V6.7.2.0_WHQL . I installed it, and it installed and it renamed "TUSB Boot Device" to "Com3", but gave an error "Windows encountered a problem installing drivers for this device. Driver is not intended for this platform.
Can you help me with this? Is the GUI program compatible with Windows 10? Can I get a hold of the correct TUSB driver?
