HDC1080: Long Cable 2m-10m

We are using HDC1080. We are designing to support long I2C cable 2m-10m. We are consider to use between 2 parts below. 

1) I2C Bus Extender : P/N P82B715

2) 2-Bit Bidirectional 1-MHz I2C Bus and SMBus Voltage-Level Shifter : P/N TCA9406

Which part should be better choice to support long cable 2m-10m ? Thank you.

    Hello,
    The bus extender seems to fit better your application since the length of your cable will add parasitics capacitance that the I2C bus will have to drive. Ultimately the max capacitance supported by the extender will limit the cable length.
    My advise for you is to check specs on both parts and shoose the one that fit your needs. (e.g. Do you need level shifters?)
    Since we don't support directly those parts we recommend to ask on the interface forum if you still have questions since any I2C interface device will require a similar solution.
