LDC 1000 evm cannot connect

Hello,

I am new to this sensor and it just arrived today. I downloaded and installed the GUI s/w from your website and the version is GUI 1.0.4.1

I then connect the new EVM and upon connection red and green lights start blinking for 2 seconds and then green steady shows up for 2 more sec and then no lights after that.

A pop up msg appears "Firmware Update: The current s/w does not support the outdated firmware on the connected EVM. Would you like to update the firmware?"

If I say "Yes", anotoher pop up appears " Please do not touch or place a conductive target with 15mm of the EVM coil."(no lights still)

Once said okay, another popup comes "Firmware Update: Firmware Loader, Please wait for this dialog to close...

Filename:

No devices in BSL found."

And nothing happens after this step.

I fing the GUI screen mention disconnected state all the time.

and when I click the first icon, it mentions "port: com 16, firmware version: 0.2.0.8, serial:"

 

Please help me get this evm to establish communication.
