Dear Team,

We use LDC1612 and its ~19uH coil and 330pF LC tank to do water sensor experiment.

The coil is extended by wires and stick to a 3mm thick glass and water comes from another side. The cap is one EVM.

A inductance change of 0.0004uH is observed when there is minimum water on the coil.

If a larger inductance changed is needed, I should makes resonance frequency lower to have higher resolution?

Hello Ting,

I would need more information to assist. What is the distance between the PCB coil and the LDC? Is it possible for you to have the cap near the coil? What is the composition and geometry of your target?

Below is test video using LDC1612 with EVM original coil fo 19uH and 330pF attached to a 1mm thick plastic case.

I will try using larger inductance coil and to see if the value goes higher.
