Using MSP-EXP430F5529 LaunchPad connect to LDC1000/1612 detection

Hi all,

I want to use MSP-EXP430F5529 LaunchPad and LDC1000 or 1612 to detection.

my purpose is via this LaunchPad to flash firmware to MCU-MSP430.

(when the target is close to coil ,the inductance value will be change,when this value is over the predictive value,

the GPIO on MCU will pull high and LED will light up.)

What documents should I study? I find some in TI's web ,show below:

Hello Lee,

Yes you are on the right path. MSP430F5529 is the same as the MSP430F5528 on the EVM for programming purposes. The same code can be found in the LDC1000 folder.

HI, Natallia:

About LDC1612 ,how can i change register by using LaunchPad?
Like register list - in LDC1612 datasheet p.18 .
Is LDC1612 has sample code let me to modify like LDC1000 (snac059 folder) ??

Hello Yulin,

LDC1000 has SPI interface where LDC1312/LDC1612 has I2C interface. Thus, you communicate to the device through I2C.

Thank you for your reply, and where can i find LDC1612 sample code?
The resource on the web are almost LDC1000.

Hello Yulin,

Currently we dont have a plan to release the firmware for LDC1612. The main difference is I2C instead of SPI protocol, so I would advise you to search through MSP430 forum on how to communicate via I2C.

Hi Natallia,

If we only want to see LDC1612 registers value and modify it .

We can just use CCS(code composer studio) software and choose View->Registers to achieve our goal?
