AWR1642: Figure update very slowly in mmWave demo visualizer

Part Number: AWR1642

Hi,

I run the mmw demo in sdk 1.0 on AWR1642 EVM, using the online mmwave demo visualizer to load config from PC and view the plot, I found the view update speed is very slow. I tried to uninstall the chrome browser and all the related plug-ins, then reinstall but the issue still exists. We four people tried it on four different computer, only on one computer the view update speed is normal, it is very slow on all the other three computers. Would u pls help instruct me what maybe the cause?

Thanks & BR,

Andy

  • Hello Andy,
You can try reducing the number of plots you want to display, this would improve the update rate and also try increasing the frame rate in the configuration.
To some extent the update might be limited by windows , depending on what the applications the OS is running.

  • Vivek,

I tried to change the below guiMonitor configuration to decrease the output, it is possible to improve the update rate. I felt very strange that before the update rate was very normal when using the default configuration, but started about from this month the update rate is very slow in the same test method on the same computer. I doubt it is caused as any incompatible software, do u know how to check it? Thanks.
    guiMonitor 1 0 0 0 0 0

  • Hi Vivek,

I have the same issue and not improvement by reducing the plot number. Below warming page is always showed up every minutes.  Is there any other way we could fix the issue?

                Thanks a lot!

  • Hello Andy,
Not very sure what additional software could cause the update to slow down, mostly suspect some chrome extensions causing it to slow down.

    Hello Jane,
What is the warning you are seeing? Can you put a snap shot?

    Regards,
    Vivek
