AWR1243: Basic features on AWR1243P with DFP 0.6.0

Hello Experts,

I have an additional question regarding this thread. Per Raghu, "The DFP0.6.0 will not support all the features of the AWR1243.". Does it mean DFP0.6.0 supports AWR1243P with limited features? If my customer uses only basic features, will AWR1243P (not AWR1243) work with DFP0.6.0?

    For any kind of support needs it is always recommended to move to latest version of MMWAVE-DFP.
    Does your customer have any concerns in moving to the latest MMWAVE-DFP ?

    Hello Raghu,

    My customer is using Radar SDK on TDA3x. In order to use the latest version of DFP, considerable modifications are required in Radar SDK. They would like to avoid such kind of modifications if possible.

    Ken,

    MMWAVE-DFP 0.6 supports only AWR1243 ES1.0. Currently latest MMWAVE-DFP 0.9.1 supports AWR1243 ES2.0

    Radar SDK already supports both ES1.0 and ES2.0 so that should not be a problem. Also you can keep using the same mmWaveLink API if you are not looking for additional features which are enabled in latest MMWAVE-DFP. The application would continue to work with limited functions.
