IWR1443BOOST: High Accuracy Lab return closest, not highest reflecting

Hi,

Is there any way to configure the High Accuracy Lab to return the *First* object it sees instead of the highest reflecting object? I have to measure distance to closest object. Should i work with another lab?
My range of intrest is 0-6m.

Problem i am facing right now is that the closest object may not be reflecting best of all objects found. For example my hand gets ignored. I do however see a peak in the visualizer of High Accuracy Lab. So it IS recognized. How do focus on the *first* object?

Hi Jason,

The high accuracy lab does not support the "first" peak search. It however has a cli command "RangeLimitCfg" to specify the range of interest and select the highest peak within the selected range. Please see high accuracy lab user guide for details.

both objects are within my range, any solutions for this? is there another lab you would recommend better for me?

We have mmw demo released with mmwave sdk. It returns multiple peaks. However, it does not has peak interpolation as implemented in the high accuracy lab.

What about the fluid level lab? doesn't this return the closest object/measurement?

Jason,

The fluid level transmitter use the high accuracy lab binaries, only change is the display interface.

Yes but the fluid transmitter goes by first object seen, not highest peak? am i correct? if so, how can i get the same result in my script that reads the UART?

Jason,

In the fluid level transmitter lab, peak value is still delivered by high accuracy lab which send the highest peak within specified range, not the first object.

Hi Jason,

The mmw demo in the mmwave SDK provides multiple peaks, however it does not provide high accuracy.
