  • Hello Mustafa,
Could you let us know the error you are getting and the snapshot of the device manager window where the dev pack ports are listed?

    Hello Mustafa,
Thanks for sharing the snap shots. Could you help me with a few more clarifications?
    1) Do you have the radar EVM also connected to the dev pack and powered up with 5V supply ?
    2) When you right clicked the device to update the driver by pointing to the FTDI driver, did it give any error?

    Regards,
    Vivek
  • In reply to Vivek Dham:

    Hello Vivek
    1- yes.
2- yes, the error message says " windows could not find the driver software for your device"

    regards

    Hello Mustafa,
Did you pick the FTDI drivers from TI's SDK package and point to the following folder location \MMWAVE_SDK v01.00.00.05\tools\ftdi during the driver update?

    Regards,
    Vivek
  • In reply to Vivek Dham:

    yes i did
  • In reply to Mustafa Sadiq:

    Hi Mustafa,

The driver is checked on Windows 7 64 bit machines. Can you send screenshot of the error that you get. I guess, you would have already tried uninstalling and re-installing driver. Please check if not done.

Can you confirm that ftdi*.inf and ftdi*.cat files are present in mmwave_sdk_01_00_00_05\tools\ftdi  folder and is not blocked by the antivirus software.

Can you also check properties of these serial ports. This is to ensure that PC is able to read the VID/PID to install the appropriate driver. Please see screenshot below.

    Regards,

    Kaushal

    Mustafa,

I do see a REV version in your FTDI Hardware Id. Need to check if this causing the problem.

Can you check with attached FTDI driver and see if this installs.

    Hello Kaushal

Thanks for your answer, i tried the attached drivers and got the following result:

and I don't think it is exactly what I need as the 4 ports are still defined as USB and not COM ports.

Also, when I tried to open the Radio Studio I got this error message:

and I hope you can help me solving this problem as well.

    Thanks and best regards
