Is the data always consistent when I read all data (4byte temperature and humidity) in one read cycle?

What happens if the internal measurement overlaps with the readout?

Is the MEAS_TRIG bit set to "no action" directly after starting the measurement or only after the measurement has been performed?

Hi Paul,
There shouldn't be any problem reading consistently the 4 bytes of Temp and Humidity.
For programming examples please refer to the example code written for Arduino using the following link. In addition there is a training video that elaborates on the topics you have questions.

Thanks for the answer. I guess the data is consistent! But the following question is still open:

Is the MEAS_TRIG bit set to "no action" directly after starting the measurement or only after the measurement has been performed?

As explained on page 26 of the data sheet. Measurement trigger
MEAS_TRIG description: Self-clearing bit when measurement completed.
