TMUX136: Output level to rails?

Part Number: TMUX136

Does the output level of the TMUX136 include the rails, without degradation of performance?

Thanks

  • Hi Bernard,

    Thank you for your question.

As long as the switch is operating in our recommended operating conditions (meaning input/output up to 3.6V), we can guarantee the electrical and dynamic characteristics in the datasheet. The switch can operate up to absolute max ratings without breaking, but we cannot guarantee the specifications in the datasheet beyond recommended operating conditions.

We have SPICE models available in the Tools Folder of this device that could allow you to simulate the specifications that you need.

Could you tell us a bit more about your application? Does your system need 6 GHz at 4.8V?

Perhaps we could help you more by understanding more about your application.

  • Thanks a lot for the quick reply. That is the answer I was hoping for. The mux is used to switch between two DACs, one of which has a 170MHz update rate and generates pulse trains with about 200mV amplitude.. We want to reduce the capacitive load as the DAC feeds into 5 muxes. VCC is 2.5V, and we want the output to be able to swing all the way to zero and to have fast settling time. The device looks like a good fit, unless there is something which I am missing.

    Best Regards

    Bernard
