Hello,
PMP8740.4 (Output Voltage 4) in the parametrics section says that the input is DC.
I was checking the user guide/test report, and it seems that it only takes in AC supply.
Can you please help confirm?
Thank you!

Hello Elisha,
PMP8740 is a 2kW offline charger for forklifters; input is universal offline, so 85Vac to 264Vac;
the PFC CCM boost generates an intermediate voltage around 390Vdc out of upper AC input;
the phase shifted full bridge PSFB converts this intermediate voltage to 27.6Vdc typical;
due to various chemistries and battery conditions this voltage might vary in between 22Vdc to 29Vdc.
The auxiliary flyback provides 12V to primary side and another 12V to secondary side;
this flyback works via peak detection out of AC, means 120Vdc to 370Vdc.
Out of this flyback another flybuck generates +/-5V, out of +5V the tiny LDO generates +3.45V to
supply the uProc etc. That's basically the total power tree.
CC/CV charging and control/monitoring is supported via uProc control.
Several chargers could be placed in parallel to increase the output power;
intercom between the chargers works via CAN bus i/f.
