TRF7970A: TX_OUT State When RF Transmitter is OFF

Part Number: TRF7970A

Hi,

I am curious about what the state of the TX_OUT pin is when the RF Transmitter is set to off (register 0x00 B5 set to 0). I was not able to find anything specific in the datasheet about this.

Is the pin set grounded, left floating, or something else?

Thanks

  • Hello Arlber,

interesting question I never thought about that. I also could not find anything about that in the documentation.

I took a board and just did a quick measurement. When setting TX to off in the Chip Status Control Register (bit 5) the TX_OUT shows ~4 Ohm to GND.

    Hope that helps.

    Best regards,
