CC2530: Build a network with a large number of nodes

Basically, ZCs of different Zigbee network cannot communicate directly using Zigbee protocol. I would suggest you to connect ZC to cloud directly using Ethernet, WiFi, or 4G network to do data management.

hello... Thanks for the answer ... but due to environmental conditions it is not possible to use another protocol. Is it possible to create a network with a high number of nodes by connecting a coordinator node to the computer and using ZNP? In other words, we want to establish a link between sample code and ZNP.

Using ZNP instead of sample applications for the coordinator node won’t be too much different in the maximum number of nodes supported. I think the major benefit would that you will have more ram or coding space when you use ZAP-ZNP architecture.

Alright. But this PDF says that traditional Zigbee networks can handle 5 to 20 nodes. However, more than 400 nodes have been set up in the project. Has ZNP been used in this project? Or are sample apps used?

When you ask “ Has ZNP been used in this project?”, what project do you refer to specifically?

You can try "twin-node", connect tow zigbee-node by UART. One is coordinator and the other is a router who can join into a ZC

The project which is mentioned in that pdf file that it is implemented in San Diego's office.

Yikai is correct, SWRA427 is based off a legacy Z-Stack solution which did not include the additional TCLK table requirements introduced in Zigbee 3.0.  It also assumes a very clean environment with minimal interference and very basic over-the-air communication.  More recent Large Network Application Reports have a limited the number of devices to ~100.  The CC2530 does not have enough RAM to support a network of more than 40-50 devices as a ZC, you can use them for your ZR/ZED devices but I highly recommend using the CC2538 or (more preferably) the CC2652R device and SIMPLELINK-CC13X2-26X2-SDK software for your ZC.  Your other option is to use a distributed network whose topology uses all ZRs in place of a ZC but this includes security concerns as no Trust Center is involved.  A multi-gateway approach reporting to the cloud is another viable option and you can refer to the ZIGBEE-LINUX-SENSOR-TO-CLOUD solution if willing to further consider.
