Module selection that supports 802.11 a/b/g

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1833

Hi,

I am in search of a wireless solution which supports IEEE 802.11 a/b/g.

I am in no need of Bluetooth, GPS, etc.

Browsing through the wireless connectivity options I had to rule out the TI SimpleLink family as it doesn't support IEEE 802.11a

The option was to select Wilink6 or Wilink8 family. Since it is recommended to go for Wilink8 rather than Wilink6 I went on searching for the right module in WL18xx family and found out that WL1833 is the right fit.

I see that WL18x1 and WL18x5 modules are readily available as evaluation modules, but how about the WL18x3 ones?

Does any evaluation board/module support WL18x3 chipsets?

Regards,

Minal
