CC256x tx power level

The Tx power of BT is not only controlled by the power level, it is set in the service pack, i.e., what each power level corresponds to. It is hex number. For example, 0x08 means 4 dBm (8/2). 0xfc means -2 dBm. 

So you'll need to check the service pack setting or change it by yourself.

I've found the place to modify the BDR and EDR power level but not BLE yet.

You can set the BLE power to a power level index which is put in the service pack.

Hi Gigi,

According to the information you sent the lowest tx power level is 0? is there no way to lower the power level further? Even with the tx power level set to 0 the connection isn't dropped until approximately 50ft. If possible I need to drop the connection at 5ft.

Also, it looks to me as if the connection might be controlled be the RSSI or receive signal strength. Is this correct and if so can I set the disconnection to happen at a greater RSSI, say around -70?

You will need to reduce the max power - modify using BHET so that the rules mentioned in: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC256x_VS_HCI_Commands is taken care of.
