I am currently trying to start the stollmann NFCPlayer on my new Boosterpack + MSP430F5529. I have repeated the steps installing CCS uniflash then installing NFCLink. I can start a new target configuration and I have successfully loaded the program, but for some reason the Heartbeat LED will not start blinking meaning the TRF7970A is not initialized after using Uniflash.

I have moved the jumper to position 1.

I have also adjusted the virtual COM Port to the appropriate settings.

I am wondering what step am I missing that is not provided in the PDF to set up the booster pack

Hi Kim,

Sorry for the delay. Next time, you can post in the NFC/RFID forum. I will move this post there as well.

If you are using the code from the NFCLink tool folder, this is designed for the MSP430F5529 experimenters board and not the launchpad. There are some changes which need to be made in order for it to work with the launchpad. Please see the thread below. In the second post in this thread, Josh posts the updated image to use for the launchpad.

Thanks for the answer. As i read through the forum you linked me with. I'm still not quite sure how to change the pins to match launchpad instead of the experimenters board listed below.

TRF7970A_IRQ: Firmware: P2.1: changed to P2.2

SPI_Slave Select: Firmware: P2.6, changed to P4.2 file:SPI.h

TRF_EN: Firmware: P2.0, changed to P4.1

also the HeartBlink LED we have put to the P4.7 file: MSP430hardware.h.

I cant manage to get the heartblink LED blinking.

Dear Kim,

Did your problem solved?

If not, you can include RW_P2P_CE_1 or RW_P2P_CE_2 in CCS. Then replace these three files: MSP430_hardware.h, SPI.h, and RFID.h. 6708.F5529LP+7970ABP.zip

It blinking the LED1, but I still got some other problem need to be solved.
