TI SimpleLink CC3000 Evaluation Module External Antenna

Hello Everyone!

I am using CC3000 Evaluation module for WiFi connectivity. In my product, CC3000 eval module along with other electronics will be in a metallic box. And the antenna on the evaluation board will be shielded so I need an external antenna for TX/RX.

So can you please help me how can I add external antenna using the same evaluation board?

Hi Arslan,

Please refer to this document at http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru326/swru326.pdf.

Here, in the Figure 2-1 there is J1 connector that you can connect u.fl cable with antenna.

On my evaluation board Capacitor C3 was missing so I removed C2 and placed at C3 and it worked.
