LAUNCHXL-CC1350: Connection Questions

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1350
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1350,

Hi -

I have some questions regarding the CC1350. I have a LAUNCHXL-CC1350, which has the XDS-110 embedded on the board. I have been using SMART RF Studio to control the radios and that is working out well.

When we actually use the CC1350 on our new device, I'd like to not rely on our firmware developer's to make an API for me to interface with the radios. That said, if our product's hardware layout exposes the JTAG pins (JTAG_TDO, JTAG_TDI, JTAG_TMSC, and JTAG_TCKC) to a header can I connect a XDS-110 to those JTAG pins to control the radios via the XDS-110? Are there any other JTAG pins that I will need?

If this can be done, what special considerations do I need to be aware of? Do I need to pull the processor into reset or anything like that?

Additionally, if I can control the radios on our design with an XDS-110, does the SmartRF Studio have a CLI or set of dlls that I can use to allow my test software to control the radios through the XDS-110? If yes, where can I find the documentation on using that CLI or set of dlls?

Thanks.
