WL1837MOD: AVRCP v1.3 Support

Hi Team,

My customer is asking if the WL1837MOD supports AVRCP rev 1.3. Our Sitara BT stack mentions AVRCP v1.4 (they are using a different processor), but they would like confirmation it is supported since they see no mention of this on the BT site. Was this tested during the module cert?

Please check this link.. AVRCP1.4 is a superset of 1.3 and additional features..

Hi Hari,

Their main concern is with BT qual. They are using the bluedroid stack but I've searched around and it seems that it is not supported on our side. For qualification purposes, would they have to move to our Bluetopia TI BT stack? If so, they can use our host QDID 69887 and controller QDID 88827 for their qual, correct?

One more thing: the customer requested to please show exactly in the ICS details where AVRCP support is referenced for these QDIDs.

Humm.. If, they are using Bluedroid stack, likely they are using Android environment? If so, porting Bluetopia stack to Android is humongous and does n't make sense.. On the other hand, if they are using Yacto or other Linux distributions ex: Processor SDK etc, it makes sense to use Bluetopia stack. I will fetch the ICS details with our QDIDs and post it here..
