CC2530: zcl_SendReportCmd - possible to cancel transmission / retries?

If I use zcl_SendReportCmd to report an attribute, and the attribute changes, and issue a subsequent zcl_SendReportCmd for the same attribute, is the first transmission effectively aborted? Is there a way of cancelling any pending transmission or retries?

The first transmission won’t be canceled and there is no API to cancel pending transmission.

In which case - where is the number of retries defined and can I determine the overall timeout? That would allow me to set the pacing of messages that are generated.

I couldn’t understand your question but if you want to control send timing, you can try to check APS ack.

I presume I could intercept incoming acks in
void afIncomingData( aps_FrameFormat_t *aff, zAddrType_t *SrcAddress, uint16 SrcPanId,
NLDE_Signal_t *sig, uint8 nwkSeqNum, uint8 SecurityUse,
uint32 timestamp, uint8 radius )

You should add “case AF_DATA_CONFIRM_CMD:” in ZDO message callback to process APS ack.
