CC2510 PCN changes

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2510

HI there, Can someone please help me understand what changes have been made to the CC2510, per the PCN recently issued. I need to understand the potential impact to my customers.

Thanks and best regards,

Amy

  • Hi Amy,

The short summary of the PCN is that the CC2510 (and other 6x6mm, 36 pin CC-devices) are moved to a new assembly site. In this process we are changing the package type from RSP (punched package) to RHH (sawn package). The package will look slightly different, but the footprint and the height will be the same.

  • Fredik,

I have medical customers using this part and they are very nervous about the PCN due to the qualifications that are required.

When will technical details be made available?

When will the changes take affect?

  • Hi Asicman78,

All the techical details are stated in the PCN. The dates are also stated in the PCN. Estimated shipping date of new parts is 02/20/2013.

As I wrote earlier this is simply a change from punched package (RSP) to sawn (RHH). The footprint is identical.
