Could you teach about the mean of C8 commented at page 7 in detail?
I have understood that C8 is added to add the delay of the Battery short circuit protection.
However, why is it better to add the delay?

The max current out of the LDO is 20mA and a good value to test with is 10mA or about 330 ohms. 5 ohm load will not be a good test condition.
With a battery connected do you see any voltage on BAT pin?
